Remembering A Life
|
AnanlysisThe poem is about how Martin Luther King captivated the nation and the world. His message was a good one. His words were perfect ones. He had his dream and the time was perfect for him to shout it, which he did passionately and forcefully. That he lost his life on that sad day in Memphis only inspired the nation to carry on with his dream. If he had it to do over today Adams would have no doubt that he would give his life for that dream. Over the years his dream has been hijacked by would-be preachers and peace activists, but are basically only promoting themselves. Adams believes Martin Luther King is in a good place and he is saddened by the mistreatment of his name. |
